MEGADETH Mainman Says BRING ME THE HORIZON's Participation In GIGANTOUR Is 'Unconfirmed'

September 3, 2007

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has shot down as "completely unconfirmed" an announcement released by Visible Noise Records to BLABBERMOUTH.NET earlier today (September 3) regarding BRING ME THE HORIZON's addition to three dates on Australia's Gigantour, featuring MEGADETH, STATIC-X, DEVILDRIVER and LACUNA COIL.

Writing on MEGADETH's official forum, Mustaine says, "Not only is this news to me and completely unconfirmed, but I have not heard one note from the band. This may change over the next few days or weeks, but this is completely untrue as far as I am concerned. Stay tuned, and as usual, until you hear it here, regarding all-things-MEGA, it ain't official!"

In the press release announcing BRING ME THE HORIZON's participation in Gigantour, the group's vocalist Oli Sykes was quoted as saying. "We can't wait to get out to the Australia. We've done loads of touring this year, going to new places and meeting new people and it's been great. I actually used to live in Australia, but haven't been back for years. To be able to return to tour with MEGADETH is a dream come true."

The dates in question are as follows:

Nov. 13 - Melbourne, Australia @ Festival Hall
Nov. 15 - Sydney, Australia @ Luna Park Big Top
Nov. 18 - Brisbane, Australia @ Riverstage
